Ariana Grande has resumed her
Dangerous Woman Tour following the
attack at her May 22 concert in Manchester, England.
The singer took to Instagram to share the news and a message of love ahead of tonight's show in Paris. Along with a photo of the Eiffel Tower, she wrote, “First show back tonight. Thinking of our angels every step of the way. I love you with all my heart. ☁️ ♡ 🙏🏼 Grateful for and incredibly proud of my band, dancers and entire crew. I love you I love you.”
After a suicide bomber targeted the Manchester concert venue where Ariana performed last month, an attack that killed 22 and injured many others, she announced on May 24 that she would be
suspending her tour at least until June 5, though further information would be provided in due time. TMZ reported that the suspension was necessary, in part, due to concerns about security for future concert dates. The shows that were skipped during the show's hiatus period were set to take place in London; Antwerp, Belgium; Lodz, Poland; Frankfurt, Germany; and Zurich.
Following the tragedy, Ariana took to Instagram to explain that, “From the day we started putting the Dangerous Woman Tour together, I said that this show, more than anything else, was intended to be a safe space for my fans. A place for them to escape, to celebrate, to heal, to feel safe and be themselves. To meet their friends they've made online. To express themselves. This will not change that.”
On Sunday, June 4, Ariana returned to Manchester for the moving One Love Manchester benefit concert in honor of the victims of the horrific bombing. All proceeds from the concert benefited the bombing victims and their families, and the event reportedly raised over $3 million during its three-hour run.
