Swavey season is approaching. Three weeks before Memories Don’t Die, Tory Lanez unveils three new tracks, including two collaborations with PARTYNEXTDOOR. The cuts, which won’t appear on his upcoming LP, act as an appetizer for the main course, which drops March 2.
The first of those new joints is the island-flavored “Leaning,” which features a crooning Tory singing about the girls who were born in a certain decade. “I be in it so deep, I ain’t slept in five weeks,” he sings. “Side thing mad when she’s not who I bring / This is for the girls born in the ’90s.” Meanwhile, PND dedicates the track to other women: “This goes to the ones I thought were the ones / That never turn to thots when the summertime comes.”

Next up is “More Than Friends,” which matches up a raunchy Swavey with PND again. “Got the stars in the roof, double Rs in the seat,” raps Tory. “I’m a dog, I’m a freak / Come fuck with me, I’ll beat that pussy, W-E-T.” While lust dominates that verse, love is on Party’s mind. “Why won’t you let me love you?” he asks. “You know that’s all I wanna do / I know you wanna trust me, girl / I know you wanna love me, girl.”
Finally, Tory drops “March 2nd,” a reflective rap track over underwater boom bap and piano keys. Lanez uses the track to recall days in the streets while overlooking past beefs. “I ain’t trippin’ ’bout who got at me and dissed,” he rhymes. “When I think about who shot at me and missed / I came from real situations / Ni**as got clapped for lil’ insinuations.”

To go along with the three tracks, Tory also revealed the artwork for Memories Don’t Die , which finds him sitting in a vibrant room full of balloons and Polaroid photographs. He also unveiled the album’s tracklisting, which features collaborations with 50 Cent, Future, Fabolous, NAV, and Wiz Khalifa.
