When it comes to vintage pin-up models and photography, what do you think of first? Perhaps you think of sexy, yet innocent poses. Perhaps you think of girls wearing a scarf or flower on their head. Perhaps you think of a vibrant, colorful background. Or maybe you even think of tight revealing outfits. But we bet that the underwater photos you’re about to see never crossed your mind.
Back in 1938, American photographer Bruce Mozert decided to do something different in the world of pin-up photography. His underwater series changed the game. And his photos were an amazing promotional tool for Silver Springs, FL, the location of the shoot. In fact, tourism increased in the coastal town because his photos boasted their crystal clear waters.
Mozert passed away in 2015 but his photography lives on. He was 98.
