Before dropping his long-awaited album Luv Is Rage 2 , Lil Uzi Vert unleashes two new songs.
The first of those is “Alone Time,” a Maaly Raw-produced track filled with piano keys. “Middle fingers to my enemies,” he raps. “I hope you die / All these diamonds in my teeth is why I talk like this / Money in my pocket why I walk like this.”
“Repercussion” is another track that finds Uzi throwing up his middle fingers, only this time, he does it towards an ex. “She beggin’ to get back with me, ’cause now she see the money,” he sing-raps. “Now she got a confession, she burnin’, God damn, like she feel like Usher / It’s Friday, I’m stuck in rush hour, money talks, I feel like Chris Tucker.”
The arrival of these two tracks comes as Uzi continues to succeed. In fact, “Money Longer” and “XO TOUR Llif3” both went double platinum in June. The latter has spent 15 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and is currently No. 17.
Luv Is Rage 2 has been teased for months, but a release date is still unknown. In May, Vert said the project would be out “sooner than soon.”
