Golden State warriors defeat defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers 113-91 in game1 of NBA finals on Thursday.
The Warriors send a strong message to the reigning champions:they are ready to take them this time,this is their third final match-up in three years,Golden state are hoping to take the trophy home this time.
Kevin Durant played a vital role as Golden state warriors defeated Cleveland Cavaliers leading his team with 38 points,while the reigning MVP Stephen Curry added 28 points and 10 assists.
Despite the loss,Cleveland's Lebron James carried his team with 28 points and 15 rebonds,Kyrie Irving added 24 points for Cleveland.
At the end of the first quarter Golden state led 35-30,making it their 22 out of 22 wins and scoring 35 points or more in the first quarter.
Warriors haven't lost any game since February when their four best players,Curry,Durant,Green and Klay Thompson played together in a game.
The Cavaliers still thinks the game is still in their hands if they can play better in their next meeting,the Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue said,"They're playing good basketball,but we can play better."
Can they?the Cavaliers have a few days to draw up some new tactics and play better that the Warriors when they meet for Game 2 which will take place on Sunday at 5pm local time in Oracle Arena.
