Christmas came early for Major Lazer fans the world over, as the electronic music trio dropped a surprise six-track EP yesterday, the banger-filled Know No Better.
Know No Better follows the the group’s hit 2015 album Peace Is The Mission – which blessed us with the instantly iconic "Lean On" –
and just like that project, it features a pretty impressive list of artistes; from Sean Paul to Travis Scott.
While the title track featuring Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo seems set to be the EP's runaway hit – it already has over a million views on YouTube in less than 19 hours – the project's strongest song is actually its least viewed,"Particula".
"Particula" features South African rapper Nasty C and Jidenna delivering strong verses; alongside Ice Prince on the chorus, sounding better than he has sounded in a vey long time (seriously, he is the best thing about this song).
Surprisingly, the feature who gets the short end of the stick is Patoranking, as we strain to hear his contribution to this brilliant track; relegated to dropping ad-libs under the beat, a little like Wizkid on Drake's "One Dance".
This is the best ice prince has sounded in a very long time.
